Okiruket Rock

Okiruket rock is found in Opwateta sub county Pallisa district in eastern uganda, it is a Cultural Heritage site for the Iteso tribe, it is beleived that in the early days, their ancestors used to perform rituals on the rock asking the spiritual powers for healing, they used to make sacrifices, prepare cultural meals and perform cultural dances. the rock has got a water pool on top that does not dry up throughout the year and this water is believed to be holly, in the early days, people used to walk miles and miles across the estern to collect this holly water that was belived to heal different diseases especially burren couples in the community.
