The district safe water coverage stands at 50% against the national average of 67%. This coverage is provided by 516 boreholes, 188 protected springs and 59 shallow wells which were funded by RUWASA, NUSAF, EU/MPP, NUSAF, LGDP, SAI and Directorate of water development (DWD).
